El Cielo is a restaurant on the ground floor at 346 Lewers Street in Waikīkī, listed in Restaurant Week as El Cielo by Masa Gushiken. The restaurant describes its story as a culinary journey that found its meaning in Hawaiʻi: born in Argentina, shaped in Japan, refined in Los Angeles and perfected in Spain.
In its own words, El Cielo is “a quiet expression of movement, memory and place where language becomes unnecessary at the table.” It is open in the evenings for dinner.
It is one of the participating restaurants in HONOLULU Magazine’s Restaurant Week, Nov. 7–15, though it hadn’t posted a Restaurant Week menu price when Oahu Local checked on Nov. 2. Restaurant Week menus are dine-in only, so ask for the menu when you order.
