Taormina Sicilian Cuisine serves the cooking of southern Sicily at Waikīkī Beach Walk, named for the Sicilian seaside village of Taormina. Executive Chef Hiro Mimura pairs fresh pastas with seafood and meats, and the restaurant says its Sicilian-style pastas are dressed in extra virgin olive oil rather than heavy sauces.
Taormina is open daily for lunch and dinner, with indoor and outdoor seating. Its wine list, selected by Master Sommelier Roberto Viernes, has more than 125 selections with a focus on Italian wine. The restaurant also offers a five-course tasting menu and handles weddings and catering.
For Honolulu Restaurant Week, Nov. 7–15, Taormina offers a $48 lunch or a $68 dinner featuring longtime favorites like its beef carpaccio, Roman-style carbonara and house-made tiramisu. The lunch menu also includes its mentaiko pasta. Restaurant Week menus are dine-in only.
