Kapahulu’s Rainbow Drive-In Turns 65, Still Family-Owned

Rainbow Drive-In turned 65 on Oct. 2. Founded by Seiju and Ayako Ifuku in 1961 and now led by their grandson Chris Iwamura, it is still family-owned, still serves mostly the same menu, and still faces rising costs, all while getting ready for a new home in the Pagoda Hotel's floating restaurant.
